How to make a good cotton-like vattayappam

Ingredients

1.5 cups coconut- 1 cup aval- 1/2 cup jaggery/sugar- 1/4 cup salt- 1 pinch yeast- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom- 2 water- 1.5 cups

How to prepare

Wash the ragi well and dry it in the sun and grind it. You can convert it into one and a half cups of mixi. Add one cup of grated coconut, half a cup of aval, quarter cup jaggery, a pinch of salt, half a teaspoon of instant yeast, and two cardamoms and grind it. Pour enough water and pour the well-ground flour into a bowl. Then set it aside to ferment. It should be set aside for at least two hours. Take water in an idli bowl and heat it. Then place a flat plate on the idli plate. You can apply a little ghee on it. Pour the fermented batter into it. Top with cashew nuts, close the idli container and steam it. Keep it like this for at least 20 minutes. Then open the idli container and make sure that the batter is cooked. Serve it in another container and eat it hot.
